LatAI Working Groups bring people together to explore ideas, strengthen their skills, and turn shared knowledge into meaningful initiatives. Our current AI Working Group creates a space to discuss large language models, emerging technologies, real-world use cases, and the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of artificial intelligence.
Participation goes beyond technical learning. Working groups also help members develop communication, leadership, collaboration, networking, and project-management skills. Whether you are an experienced professional, a student, or simply curious about AI, you are welcome to contribute, learn from others, and help us create the next LatAI Working Group.
Artificial Intelligence Working Group
The Artificial Intelligence Working Group is where LatAI members learn by building. The group collaborates on open-source projects published through the LatAI GitHub organization, contributing code, reviewing ideas, discussing technical decisions, and exploring how different AI models and development approaches can be applied to real problems.
The group also hosts remote webinars and YouTube sessions where members present what they are building, explain the reasoning behind each project, discuss the models and tools used, and identify opportunities for improvement. Both technical and non-technical participants are welcome. Members can contribute through development, testing, documentation, UX design, research, project coordination, feedback, or simply by joining the conversation and learning alongside the community.
Storytelling and Communication Working Group
The Storytelling and Communication Working Group is a creative space for members who want to express their ideas with greater clarity, confidence, and impact. The sessions are informal and flexible, covering everything from technical presentations and project explanations to personal stories, professional experiences, and non-technical communication.
During each session, participating members receive approximately five minutes to speak about a topic of their choice. At the end, the group reflects on what worked well and provides respectful, practical feedback. The purpose is not to deliver a perfect presentation, but to practice, experiment, improve communication skills, and become more comfortable sharing ideas with others.
